Herpetological Society is out and about all over San Diego
County during the summer months!

your support for the Society by participating in one or more events!
Saturday – June 6th

CRESTRIDGE – YEAR
END EVENT
Saturday,
June 6th – 8:30 to 12pm is the big Year End Celebration Event
for the year long education program we have provided to San Diego
Schools through our alliance with Groundwork San Diego (an environmental
education organization). Come
share the joy of keeping herps with children and their families!

ANNUAL MEMBER’S
EXPO!!! 9am to 12:30pm
It has been an SDHS tradition for
three decades: every summer Society members display their collections to
the public
in a Members' Expo Extravaganza!

FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT ---
This is your opportunity to show off your herps! Escondido Public
Library has graciously offered the use of the beautiful Turrentine Room
at Main Library and we want to put on a show the North County will be
talking about for the next year plus!!! Our goal is multi-faceted
at this event! We want to introduce everyone to the joys of
keeping herps – we want to promote Society membership – and we want to
encourage people to explore all the wonderful resources the library has
to offer in terms of herps…and everything else!

attend the REPTILE SUPER SHOW? How about volunteering for an hour or 2
at the SDHS Hands-on booth? This is our BIG OPPORTUNITY to reach out to
the San Diego Herping Community and bring them in to SDHS! WE NEED

Thursday – July 23rd
– JULY MEETING
This is one of
those months that confuses everyone when a month has 5 Thursdays! So, we are giving you a
heads up – Mark Your Calendars! We meet on the 4th Thursday!
Thursday -- Aug 27th -
2ND ANNUAL "FECAL FEST" MEETING. Herps often suffer from
intestinal parasite. This special meeting will be devoted to learning
about fecal examination, an opportunity to get animals treated by Dr. Cecil Todd and, if interested,
learn how to do fecal exams
yourself! (details below)

MEETINGS ARE FREE
AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Thursday of every month (excluding holidays)

General meetings include a speaker or presentation
at 7:30.
Before the program starts, from 7:00 to 7:30,
we have introductions and announcements and a time is provided for
socializing and networking, and refreshments are available.
In addition, there are door prizes
for members or special
quarterly raffles with items such as tanks, live animals, heating
pads, bedding, T-shirts, gift certificates, toys, books, posters, gift baskets
and more.
Non-members are always welcome to attend
and participate in all general meetings.
