In discussing the future of SDHS, James P. Bacon, PhD (1982 SDHS President)
said, "SDHS is one of the finest regional societies in the country. All of
our past officers and volunteers are to be congratulated for this success and
thanked for their efforts. Success is not free. It takes work, and
to some degree, money."
Those words are
just as true today. Whether it is helping on a committee, or writing an
article for the newsletter, fostering a critter waiting for adoption, or helping
find a program for our general meetings . . . SDHS depends on your hard work to
succeed.
