San Diego Herpetological Society has a number of iguanas available for adoption. Please be advised that in order to adopt a iguana (or any animal we offer) you must demonstrate you possess knowledge in all aspects of keeping the species. This includes feeding, temperature, lighting and habitat requirements to name a few. Iguanas are not a beginner species and is a major undertaking. Final placement of any adoptive animal is the joint decision of the Adoptions Coordinator and the SDHS Board. Fees for adoptions are $35 and up dependent on species and related expenses.
We currently have several iguanas available for adoption. Some of our iguanas are perfect and beautiful - others show their scars both the physical and the emotional ones.
