LIZARDS San Diego Herpetological Society has a number of lizards available for adoption. Please be advised that in order to adopt a lizard (or any animal we offer) you must demonstrate you possess knowledge in all aspects of keeping the species. This includes feeding, temperature, lighting and habitat requirements to name a few. Some lizards are better suited to beginners others to more advanced keepers. Final placement of any adoptive animal is the joint decision of the Adoptions Coordinator and the SDHS Board. Fees for adoptions are $35 and up dependent on species, coloration and related expenses. Below are photos of lizards currently available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting one of the snakes please send us an email by clicking HERE. Please include the type of the lizard you are interested in adopting.
